Reboot into the Recovery Drive by choosing the ‘Apple‘ menu > Restart, hold down the ‘command’ + ‘r’ keys on the keyboard

Go to the Utilites menu and select Terminal

and type resetpassword

Follow the screen instruction to reset the password
